Topaz Toddler art is on display at the Berkeley Library from July 1-31, 2026!

Building on the success of the installation at the Oakland Asian Cultural Center in February 2026, an exhibition of Topaz Toddler art has traveled to the Berkeley Library. The exhibition was researched, interpreted, and designed in collaboration with current college students and an early childhood education scholar, working alongside community members to share new perspectives and analysis.

Join us for a program on Saturday, July 25 from 11am-1pm that will feature the screening of a short documentary film about the project created by Berkeley City College film students, a presentation by Ruth Sasaki about her mother, Topaz Preschool Supervisor Tomiko Takahashi Sasaki, a presentation by Dr. Ayumi Nagase about analyzing children's art, and a panel discussion with student curators and some actual Topaz Toddlers!
